At present Tenerife Activity Holidays specialise in walking tours around Tenerife.

This service is based on its owner Malcolm Burton's extensive knowledge of the Canary Islands in general and Tenerife in particular. This goes back to the early 1980's when development in the south of the island was still in relatively early stages.

The walks are offered and organised through guides who have an intimate knowledge of the island, who love to interact with their clients, and who value ongoing friendships. You will receive a very personal service.

Margit Seefeld and Ray Goff are a German/British couple who have lived in the south of Tenerife for 7 years. In fact Margit has been on the island for nearly 20 years and has been a keen walker for 10 years. Speaking German, Spanish and English, she has done many Tenerife island tours, including almost 100 trips to the top of Mount Teide. She also does regular walking tours to La Gomera. Margit has also gained the skills for Nordic walking, so if you need advice, just bring your walking poles! Ray has been a keen walker for 25 years. Having lived in Scotland, he has led many tours through the Larig Ghru and walked almost 100 Munroes. He loved walking in Scotland but believes walking in Tenerife is as good or even better. He certainly prefers the weather in Tenerife!

Lena Nystad and Martin are a Swedish/American couple who live on the island for 6 months of the year between October and April and who have a great love for the hills and mountains of southern Tenerife. During the walks they give many personal viewpoints and perspectives, whether it be the different and very special plant life, or the history of the mountains and the people who have lived there.
